Hey Blogger, hey people, hey hey hey! We are moving right along with the restaurant project ...VAL'S is about half complete. Let me go get some recent pictures...I was working on the 'brick awning arches' today...the idea is to make these awnings look REAL -from a distance. I'll be back...
You know it's kind of weird how these blogs tend to go backwards, and it takes a bit of getting used to it. Anyway, you can see the arches installed up high on the wall. They are meant to look as if they are about one brick width deep, so I went under neath and airbrushed in a sort of 'under neath belly to each one. This helps the eye to understand the attempt to make this art look real. Got it?
....Click on the picture itself and make it bigger, then you will see what I did up close.
Meanwhile, because the wind is so unpredictable in this part of Oklahoma, we have held off installing the right shadows on the wall - below the painted awnings to REALLY make them appear to actually be there. Whats missing? ...well right at the corner of the wall is where the name of the place will go.
We projected it into place tonight and I will be trying my best to fill it in tomorrow (high winds are predicted). Good night. zzzzz
